We believe travel should be transformative. Mongolia deserves to be experienced— not just visited.

Nomada Tour is a small, locally founded travel company based in Mongolia. We design and operate private tours and small-group journeys across the Gobi Desert, Lake Khuvsgul, the steppe, and beyond.

We are not a platform or a booking engine. We handle everything directly — planning, logistics, guides, transport, and on-ground support. When you book with Nomada, you work with the same team that designs and runs your trip.

We start with realistic itineraries. Drive times are stated honestly. Rest days are built in. Accommodation standards are defined clearly before you arrive.

We avoid marathon driving days and compressed routes. If a journey requires six hours in a vehicle, we say six hours — not 'a scenic drive.' Every itinerary balances exploration with comfort.

Flexibility is built into every trip. Weather changes. Roads close. Travelers get tired. When conditions shift, we adjust on the ground — prioritizing safety and experience over rigid schedules.

Local Guides & Logistics

Mongolian Guides

Every guide we work with is Mongolian. They don't follow scripts. They know the land, culture, and routes because they grew up here.

Long-Term Partnerships

We collaborate with local drivers, ger camp operators, and nomadic families across the country. These are relationships built on trust and consistency.

Reliable Vehicles

We use 4WD vehicles suited to Mongolia's terrain — primarily Toyota Land Cruisers with reliable suspension and mechanics.

Systematic Safety

Limited night driving on unpaved roads. Clear communication methods. Defined emergency protocols. Experienced drivers who know the routes.

Realistic Pacing

Most days involve 5–6 hours of driving. Rest days are included in multi-day journeys. We prioritize experience over constant movement.

Small Groups

Most trips are private (1–4 travelers). Small groups max out at 8–10 people. Larger groups strain logistics in remote areas.

Our Values

Seven principles that guide everything we do

01

01

Local First

Every guide is Mongolian. Every route reflects generations of knowledge. We believe the best stories come from those who've lived them.

02

02

Sustainable Travel

We minimize environmental impact, support local communities, and protect Mongolia's fragile ecosystems for future generations.

03

03

Authentic Experiences

No tourist traps. No staged performances. Just real connections with nomadic families and genuine cultural immersion.

04

04

Small Groups, Big Impact

Smaller groups mean deeper experiences, less environmental footprint, and more meaningful interactions with communities.

05

05

Transparent Pricing

No hidden fees. No surprise charges. What you see is what you pay, with clear breakdowns of what's included.

06

06

Safety & Comfort

Adventure doesn't mean sacrifice. We balance exploration with comfort, ensuring every traveler feels safe and cared for.

07

07

Build Lasting Connections

Our travelers often return. Many become friends. Some bring their children years later. That's the experience we create.

Mongolia is remote. Cell service disappears outside Ulaanbaatar. Roads are rough. Weather is unpredictable. These are not flaws — they are part of the landscape.

We are a small team. We don't operate call centers or instant live chat. What we offer instead is direct contact, fast responses, and communication with people who know your trip in detail.

We are not the largest tour operator in Mongolia — by design. We focus on quality over volume, depth over speed, and honest planning over empty promises.
